Information We Collect
Website Usage:
- Cookies: We use cookies to enhance your browsing experience and analyze site traffic.
- Contact Forms: If you submit a contact form, we collect your name, email address, and any additional information you provide.
Google Docs Extension:
- Google Account Email Address: Collected and stored to manage your subscription, usage, and account-related functions.
- Education Level & User Type: Collected to tailor the user experience according to your preferences.
- Usage Data: Includes timestamps and query types (e.g., Book Report, Press Release) to understand user engagement. No details of the user’s authored text is stored by Idea Sparkr AI.
- AI Queries and Google Docs Content: All AI queries are sent directly to OpenAI for processing. OpenAI’s privacy policy can be found here.
- Input and Queries Not Stored: We do not store any input data from your Google Docs or content of your queries. Data is directly processed by OpenAI and is not retained by us.
- Data Transmission: Google Docs content and AI queries are transiently processed by OpenAI, after which no identifiable data is retained.
- Limited Use: Idea Sparkr AI adheres to Google API’s User Data Policy, including Limited Use requirements.
COPPA Compliance
Idea Sparkr AI complies with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) to protect the privacy of children under 13 years old.- No Personal Data Collected from Children Without Parental Consent: We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
- Data Deletion Requests: If a parent or guardian believes their child has provided personal data, they can request deletion by contacting [email protected].
- Educational Use: Schools or educators using Idea Sparkr AI must ensure compliance with COPPA, including through COPPA’s “school consent“ provision or by obtaining parental consent before students under 13 use the service.
How We Use Your Information
- Subscription Management: We use your Google Account email for subscription and account-related functions.
- Personalization: Collected data is used to tailor the service experience to your Education Level and User Type.
- Service Improvement: Usage data is analyzed to enhance the user experience and improve services.
- COPPA Compliance:We ensure that personal data from children under 13 is handled only with parental consent or school-provided consent for educational purposes and is never used for marketing or commercial purposes.
Data Security
- Encryption: All personal data is encrypted in transit and at rest to protect it from unauthorized access.
- Access Control: Access to user data is restricted to authorized personnel through role-based access control (RBAC).
Third-Party Payments
We use Stripe to handle payments. Stripe’s privacy practices apply to these transactions. Idea Sparkr AI does not store any payment card information.

Retention and Deletion of Google User Data

- Usage Data: Retained for 12 months for analysis.
- AI Queries: Not stored. Data is transiently processed by OpenAI.
